Hey sweet Gremlins....Miss-k was out this week -end celebrating the Creole Day Festival UK..
She reports: "It was an amassing Festival, with gorgeous dancers, talented Singers, and poets..the also had a massive indoor market, promoting jewellery, beauty, hair care, fashion, painting, photography, creole &Afro-Caribbean books, African designs, art & crafts.
I also couldn't help myself to have a taste of the fantastic caribbean food...their were so much variety of food stalls sharing flavours from Martinique, Guadeloupe, Haiti, St Lucia, Dominica, Jamaica,Mauritius...It was something else...I had to be there and represent my islands, therefore i even wore a lovely Madras's Dress made from the cultural Fabrics..and i was working it like no body's business...(laughs)... Can't wait for Next year's one..."
Yes,she went to show support and love to her community, and enjoy the flavours of the day..
Also Miss-k came across some wonderful Caribbean women who dressed in similar attires and one of them, was wearing the same dress that Miss-k wore, so she had to take a picture with her too.
